Authorities in Northwest Miami-Dade reported three shootings, including a fatal one, on Friday afternoon.
First responders received reports of gunfire at approximately 1 p.m. from a location approximately one mile east of Doral, near the West Airport Shopping Centre at 7367 NW 36th St., according to police.
Two patients were transported to the Ryder Trauma Center at Jackson Memorial Hospital—one by ambulance and one by helicopter—according to Miami-Dade Fire Rescue, as reported by the Miami Herald. Fire rescue officials also stated that another individual received on-site treatment for non-life-threatening injuries.
A police spokesperson for Miami-Dade County, Detective Andre Martin, stated that an argument was the catalyst for the shooting.
