After a police officer in Philadelphia was shot on Saturday night in the Kensington neighborhood of the city and suffered significant injuries, a suspect is currently under arrest.
Just before 8 p.m., according to the police, two officers were conducting a traffic stop involving four people in the 3500 block of F Street.
When they stopped him, the cops noticed a holster.
At that point, according to the police, a man shot three shots at the policemen as he ran from the area.
A bullet to the neck wounded one of the cops. After firing again, his companion took the wounded cop to Temple University Hospital.
The shot cop is in critical condition in the surgical intensive care unit.

Late on Saturday night, Kevin Bethel, the commissioner of police, gave a speech outside Temple University Hospital.
“I frequently arrive here quite angry at my men and women’s suffering. I have a new request for you today, Bethel said. I was in an auditorium today with between 75 and 100 guys from the East Division, and we prayed for our officer while holding hands under Commissioner Stanford’s leadership.”
“So today, I ask people across the city of Philadelphia to pray for our officer,” Bethel said.
The cop who was shot has not yet been identified. According to officials, he has been in the force for six years and is 31.
The other occupants in the car are being held by the police, in addition to the alleged shooter.
