EL PASO, Texas (MJP) –
Mexican authorities have expelled an American citizen they say is wanted on murder charges in the United States.
The Chihuahua state police on Wednesday arrested 84-year-old Chester G.G. outside Juarez General Hospital after getting information from the U.S. government regarding his fugitive status north of the border, the state police said in a statement.
The suspect, identified by local news media as Chester Grant Galloway, was taken to the offices of the National Migration Institute.
Immigration agents verified his identity and citizenship, put him on a wheelchair, drove him to the top of the Stanton Street Bridge, and turned him over to U.S. authorities.

Authorities did not immediately give details on what state Galloway is wanted, or where and when the alleged murder occurred. It’s also not clear how long the suspect had been in Juarez for.
Mexican authorities said the arrest illustrates ongoing binational cooperation to ensure fugitives don’t escape justice by going across the border.
