KANSAS CITY, Mo. (MJP) –
A Kansas City man has been accused of inappropriate interactions with a 12-year-old he believed to be 16 at the time.
Clinton County, Missouri, Circuit Court records filed on Wednesday, Oct. 16, have revealed that Blake M. D. Brown, 23, of Kansas City, has been charged with assault after it was alleged he had inappropriate interactions with a 12-year-old years before.
A probable cause statement indicated that the Lathrop Police Department had received reports from the victim, who at the time of the report was 18 years old, that they had sexual intercourse multiple times with Brown when they were just 12 years old.
Investigators determined that Brown believed the victim to be 16 at the time of the November 2019 crimes. He had been 18.
A criminal summons was issued on Thursday with an initial appearance set for 1 p.m. on Dec. 3.
As of Sunday, Brown does not appear to be behind Missouri bars. No further information has been released.
