The San Jose Police Department reports that two persons died on Monday in two different traffic-related accidents in San Jose.
According to the SJPD, one occurrence included a driver who lost his life in a solo car collision near Santa Teresa Boulevard and Bailey Avenue.
A caller reported witnessing an overturned car on the side of the road, according to SJPD. The motorist, a guy, was declared dead at the site despite the arrival of medical staff.
Bailey Avenue to Laguna Avenue is the closed stretch of Santa Teresa Boulevard. The police recommend that people look for other routes and stay away from the area.
A motorcycle was involved in a significant injury collision in the vicinity of Alameda and Newhall in a different event.

Major injuries were sustained by the motorcycle rider, who was transported to the hospital. He later succumbed to his wounds and was declared dead at the hospital despite attempts to save his life.

The accidents accounted for the 21st and 22nd road deaths in San Jose in 2024.
