An 18-year-old male will participate in a diversion program, according to authorities, after he was accused of stealing a car key from an Oakley Planet Fitness and then taking off with it.

In June, Dwight Huddleston allegedly stole the keys to a member’s locker at the Planet Fitness on Marburg Avenue in Oakley, walked out into the parking lot, and drove off, according to the arrest report.

The police claim that they were able to locate Huddleston and the stolen vehicle with the use of security footage.

The entry of Huddleston into a diversion program as a component of his plea deal was verified by officials on Tuesday.

The government may decide not to press charges against Huddleston if he successfully runs the program.
