Texas Breakthrough Missing Gastonia Child Found, Father in Police Custody

Gastonia, North Carolina – According to the Gastonia Police Department, a missing 11-year-old kid has been located safely in Texas and his father has been arrested.

Saturday, Thomas Lance Hester, a resident of Gastonia, and his kid, who is eleven years old, were located in Texas.

The Gastonia Police Department said on Monday that the juvenile was found safe and was reunited with family.

Near Houston, in Chambers County, Hester is still being held by the sheriff’s office. The sheriff’s office reports that Hester is facing charges of resisting arrest and violating a protective order.

According to the sheriff’s office, that the Gastonia Police have 30 days to determine whether they wish to return Hester to North Carolina.

Last Tuesday, Aug. 6, Hester departed North Carolina with his son before a missing child notice was issued, according to the Gastonia Police. Hester may be experiencing cognitive difficulties.
