A well-known food corporation has decided to shut down three of its factories, causing the community to plead with authorities to take action.
Bimbo Bakeries has revealed its plans to shut down a significant facility in Auburn, New York, which is one of three locations expected to close.
Following the announcement of the closure of Auburn, a company representative issued a statement.
A representative from Bimbo Bakeries USA mentioned that they will shift production to bakeries within their network that have more advanced capabilities to back their upcoming expansion.
“We express our gratitude for the diligent employees at these bakeries and pledge to offer them assistance and resources to facilitate their transitions.”
After discovering the closures, fans have taken to social media to express their opinions.

On Facebook, a fan expressed their anger, demanding that city authorities take action to resolve the situation.

Rafael Pamias, CEO of Grupo Bimbo, unveiled the motive behind the shutdown of the three bakeries.
During a conversation with investors, Pamias described the bakeries set to close as “outdated and less productive” compared to other establishments.
According to Pamias, the bakeries represented a mere fraction, less than 2%, of the company’s overall production capacity.
According to Diego Gaxiola, the financial officer of Grupo Bimbo, the company’s closures will bring financial advantages in the year 2025.
The closures resulted in many workers losing their jobs.
At 11 am on Tuesday, Bill Andre, the representative of the Bakery, Confectionary, Tobacco Workers, and Grain Millers International Union Local 116, stumbled upon the news.
After dedicating 12 years to the bakery, Andre confessed he felt completely caught off guard.
“It struck me suddenly, like a heavy blow,” he remarked.
He is scheduled to have a meeting with delegates to assist in obtaining compensation packages for workers who have been laid off.
Workers who have been employed by the company for under a year will still be entitled to receive a severance package.
The mayor of Auburn, Jimmy Giannettino, expressed his commitment to assisting those impacted by the closures, stating that the city will make every effort to support them.
Giannettino expressed his sympathy for the diligent individuals impacted by this shutdown, stating, “My thoughts are with them.”
He expressed his disappointment that the owners did not contact local or state authorities to explore the possibility of preventing the situation.
