Four Shots Were Fired in Southeast Washington, DC, and Police Are Looking For the Culprit

WASHINGTON, USA —

A man wanted in connection with four shootings in Southeast is being sought by D.C. police.

Police were called to the 1000 block of 12th Street, SE, just after 8 p.m. on Monday, following a report of a shooting. At the scene, police discovered two males and two women who had been shot. They were all brought to the hospital for treatment and are all breathing and alert.

At least 20 bullets are reported to have been fired by neighbors, one of whom says it “sounded like a warzone.”

“I work to prevent violence, therefore I’m really upset and distressed by it. “I just go for a walk at night and I manage an organization called Little Friends for Peace, and we’re trying to stop violence on our streets,” MJ Park said to FOX 5.

“And my son heard all this, sirens, and he said, ‘I think there’s an emergency.’”

A Black male wearing a white shirt, dark jeans, and white shoes has been identified as the suspect. According to the police, he might also be operating a blue SUV that was last spotted around Potomac Avenue, SE.
