‘Worried That She Isn’t Safe’: SNL Writer Pleads for Help Finding Missing Sister in Southern California

Los Angeles, California — A writer for Saturday Night Live is urgently asking for the public’s help as the search continues for his sister, who has been missing for nearly two weeks in Southern California.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department, Christina Lynn Downer, 38, was last in contact with a friend via text message on December 10. Since then, family members say they have heard nothing from her, raising serious concerns about her safety.

Last Seen in Koreatown

Police say Downer was last seen in the Koreatown neighborhood of Los Angeles. Investigators have not released details about where she may have been heading or what she was doing at the time of her disappearance.

Her family told authorities that Downer does not have any medical conditions that would explain her disappearance and that she has never gone missing before, making the situation especially alarming.

Brother Appeals Directly to the Public

Downer’s brother, Jimmy Fowlie, shared a public plea on Instagram, asking anyone with information to come forward.

“My sister has been missing and we are worried that she isn’t safe,” Fowlie wrote.
“Her married name is Downer but she may go by Christina Fowlie.”

He urged people to share the information widely so it reaches anyone who may have seen her.

“Please share this so that if anyone has seen her, they can give any information to the police,” he added.
