The owner of a Whitmore Lake gymnastics business charged with misconduct involving a teen girl has entered a plea.
43-year-old Jermain Martinez was charged last year with accosting a child for immoral purposes and contributing to the delinquency of a child after authorities say he molested the girl.
Court records show he entered a guilty plea to the delinquency charge in exchange for the count of accosting a child for immoral purposes being dropped.
Martinez, who owned the iTumble gymnastics business in Whitmore Lake, turned himself into the Green Oak Township Police Department last August after a 17-year-old female gym employee said Martinez brought her to a trailer he owned in Washtenaw County, where the incident occurred.
Martinez has previous OUIL convictions, the most recent of which he served time in prison before being released in September of 2021.
He will be sentenced August 24th by Livingston County Circuit Court Judge Suzanne Geddis.
