CenterWell, the healthcare division of Humana, intends to rent out medical facilities and establish primary care centers tailored for seniors at 23 Walmart Supercenter locations across Florida, Georgia, Missouri, and Texas.
The facilities will function under the names of CenterWell Senior Primary Care and Conviva Care Centers, offering elderly residents in these areas increased availability of specialized primary care services tailored for the elderly population.
The upcoming centers will be strategically positioned adjacent to Walmart stores, within clinical office areas previously utilized by Walmart Health. CenterWell anticipates that the centers will be fully prepared, staffed, and operational by the first half of 2025. The specific financial details of the agreement were not made public.
CenterWell is dedicated to offering older adults top-notch medical services that are easy to reach, thorough, and above all, tailored to each individual. Sanjay Shetty, president of CenterWell, expressed enthusiasm for the special chance to rent space from a top-tier community collaborator like Walmart. He mentioned that this collaboration would provide seniors in four states with enhanced access to their comprehensive care approach.
