The two drivers killed in a head-on crash Sunday in Howell Township have been identified.
The Livingston County Sheriff’s Office says 22-year-old Collin Cramer of Fowlerville and 71-year-old Eugene Glavin of Roscommon died as a result of the crash, which occurred Sunday just before 2:30 p.m. on eastbound I-96 east of Highland Road.
A preliminary investigation indicated that a 2005 Honda Civic operated by Cramer was westbound on I-96 when he left the roadway, traveled through the median and struck a 2013 Ford Escape operated by Glavin head on.
Cramer was reported deceased on the scene, while Glavin died on the way to the hospital after being extricated from the vehicle by first responders.
Both Cramer and Glavin were wearing their seatbelts and speed does not appear to be a factor, although alcohol and drug use are still under investigation by the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Safety Bureau.
