The Oakland County Road Commission says that Consumers Energy plans to close Milford Road, just south of Huron River Parkway (entrance to Kensington Park) in Milford Township, starting Thursday, July 6, through approximately Sunday, July 16, to replace a gas transmission main under the road.
The detour will be General Motors Road to Hickory Ridge Road to Stobart Road to Kensington Road to Grand River Avenue, back to Milford Road and vice versa.
Business access will be maintained during the work.
This section of Milford Road carries approximately 17,200 vehicles daily. The work is being done under a permit issued by the Road Commission for Oakland County (RCOC).
