VAN WERT COUNTY — Middle Point Fire and EMT were dispatched to the US 30-Dog Creek overpass for a single-vehicle accident at 2:40 p.m. on Sunday.

It appears that the pickup truck involved was westbound on US 30 and veered to the right as it approached the top of the overpass, striking the concrete barrier on the overpass. Eyewitnesses stated that one vehicle appeared to lose control as it approached the overpass, which may have contributed to the collision.
