US-23 commuters will have some lane closures to contend with starting Tuesday.
The Michigan Department of Transportation says that bridge maintenance just north of Ann Arbor will close the two right lanes of southbound US-23 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Tuesday and Wednesday, Oct. 25-26, with the Flex Route shoulder lane to the left remaining open.
The closures will allow crews to conduct maintenance at the Joy Road overpass, which closed to all traffic beginning at 7 a.m. Monday and will reopen at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 2.
The posted detour includes Gleaner Hall, Whitmore Lake and Warren roads.
Drivers are advised to seek alternate routes during the project.
