Unusual circumstances were encountered by a woman a few months ago while traveling along a Southern California roadway.
She hesitated for a moment before identifying the animal as a stray dog that had attempted to cross the road.
She pulled over to offer the dog some assistance, but he simply ran away in the opposite direction, unconcerned with her presence.
She proceeded on her way after realizing she couldn’t just pull over like that on the road. But first, she contacted Logan’s Legacy’s Suzette Hall for assistance.
As quickly as she could, she arrived at the site. Hall searched high and low, but the dog was not to be found. She arrived after a little delay.
According to what Hall stated about The Dodo, the bird would emerge from its hiding place near the highway and begin to smell the ground as if in search of food. But since there was no food, she would return to the junkyard and seek refuge there.

Since she was unable to locate her hiding spot, Hall decided to try catching the dog with some bait.
All she had to do was wait for her to arrive; each trap contained food.
The dog, who was now known as Raggedy Annie, didn’t have Hall wait long since she was in danger of starvation and arrived really fast.
If it wasn’t her, I wouldn’t know it, she said. However, I glanced upwards after a minute and beheld the small furball within the trap.
She kept eating even while she was in the trap; however, Hall took her to a vet in Southern California to determine her next move after running tests.
She had matted fur, so they started by shaving it off. Annie felt a sense of relief after it was over, despite her constant fear.
According to Hall, she was completely untouchable initially. However, after removing all of the mats and ensuring her safety, she emerged from her shell. A fresh chapter in her life was about to begin.
The vets informed Hall a few days later that she was in good enough health to be placed in foster care.
But first, they searched her thoroughly for a microchip, but they came up empty. Hall thought she might have had owners in the past because of her gentle personality, but alas, that was not the case.
She is currently residing in foster care as she awaits adoption. Although we are unaware of her adoption status at this time, one thing is certain: this cheerful puppy is full of love and would brighten the life of anyone who gives her an opportunity.
