U of M Regents renew lease on Brighton Health Center

Michigan Medicine has extended the lease for the Brighton Health Center.

The university’s Board of Regents gave unanimous approval at their March 23 meeting for the 41,500 square feet facility at 8001 Challis Road that contains both primary care and women’s health clinics.

The current lease expires in 2025, but has now been extended to April 2040.

The clinic sits kitty-corner to the $175 million Brighton Center for Specialty Care approved back in 2016 that sits on 297,000 square feet of university-owned land.

Those are two of the four Michigan Medicine facilities in Livingston County. The others are the Kellogg Eye Center in Brighton, which has relocated to the Brighton Center for Specialty Care, and the Howell Health Center, which specializes in pediatric and adolescent care.
