A crash Friday night in Tyrone Township left one person dead and two others hospitalized.
The Livingston County Sheriff’s Office reports that deputies were dispatched at approximately 6:30 p.m. to the intersection of Denton Hill Road and Denton Creek Drive on the report of a two vehicle personal injury crash.
 A preliminary investigation indicates that a 2003 Chevrolet Silverado was southbound on Denton Hill Road when an eastbound 2017 Chevrolet Camaro attempted to turn north from Denton Creek Drive in front of the pickup.  As a result of the crash, both vehicles left the roadway and required heavy extrication by the Fenton City Fire Department.
The driver of the Chevrolet Camaro, a 46 year old female from Fenton, succumbed to her injuries at the scene while her 48 year old male passenger from Fenton, was transported to the hospital for treatment of critical injuries. Â A 35 year old male Fenton resident was driver the Chevrolet Silverado at the time of the crash and was transported to the hospital for non-life threatening injuries while his 37 year old female passenger was treated and released at the scene.
All occupants appeared to be wearing their seatbelts at the time of the crash. Â Speed and alcohol remain under investigation as contributing factors.
Deputies were assisted at the scene by personnel from Livingston County EMS and Fenton City Fire Department.
This incident remains under investigation by the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Safety Bureau.
