A Tyrone Township man is dead following a suspected animal attack.
Animal Control Deputies with the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office were conducting a follow-up visit on Wednesday August 2nd at approximately 11:40 a.m. at a residence in the 8000 block of Faussett Road. Once there, authorities said they located a deceased male behind the address.
Livingston County Sheriff Mike Murphy confirmed for GIGO News that the follow-up visit was in regard to a dangerous dog report.
A preliminary investigation indicates the 68-year-old resident was deceased due to a possible domestic animal attack,although no further information was provided. However, foul play is not suspected.
The victim was transported to Sparrow Hospital in Lansing for an autopsy. Deputies were assisted on-scene by the Hartland Area Fire Department and Livingston County EMS.
The incident remains under investigation by the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office Detective Bureau.
