An accident Thursday night on US-23 in Tyrone Township ended up closing the freeway for several hours.
Michigan State Police says troopers from the Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Division (CVED) handled a single vehicle crash just after 8 p.m. involving a semi-truck pulling a trailer with 40,000 lbs of mulch.
An investigation determined the truck was traveling too fast for road conditions causing it to overturn near Fausett Road.
US-23 was closed for over 3 hours before reopening.
There were no injuries reported to either the truck’s driver or any other motorist.
