The South Lyon Area Historical Society will hold the 42nd Annual South Lyon Depot Day on Saturday, September 9th from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 300 Dorothy Street, South Lyon McHattie Park and Witches Hat Historical Museum and Village.
The day, part of South Lyon’s 150th anniversary celebration, will have activities, demonstrations, and entertainment, including a model train exhibit, “Thomas the Train” rides, a craft show, Salem/South Lyon District Library story time, and music. There will also be a Tractor Pedal Pull Competition for ages 5-12, with sign-up at 10 a.m.
The event will also feature the opening of a 50-year-old Time Capsule with a new 50-year Time Capsule burial, to be opened in the year 2073.
