On Wednesday night, a shooting occurred in Southeast D.C., leaving one man injured, according to officials from the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD).

The 2300 block of Pennsylvania Avenue, Southeast is home to a post office that officers visited at approximately 4:30 p.m. Officials have stated that they do not yet know whether the incident is related to the Post Office.

When the police arrived, they discovered a wounded man.

A man with a black sweatshirt, all-black pants, and a ski mask is being sought by authorities, who ask locals to remain vigilant.
