A Mexican guide named Pablo Garcia Carillo was detained last week by the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) on allegations of trespassing and human smuggling. On a private ranch, DPS crews spotted Carillo and a group of unauthorized immigrants; drone footage captured the arrest.
One Mexican individual, Pablo Garcia Carillo, was found to be involved in people trafficking and guiding. Trespassing and smuggling of persons were among the charges against him upon his arrest.
The moment police met Carillo and many unauthorized immigrants on a private ranch is captured on drone footage made public by the DPS.
DPS Report
I thought these guys were smugglers. Smuggling these people in illegally through ranches is paying them a substantial sum. A spokeswoman for the DPS, Sgt. Erick Estrada noted that what they fail to realize is that the ranches they traverse are occasionally private property, and on occasion, we have criminal trespass orders against them.
Habitual Criminal
This was Carillo’s eighth arrest for trying to smuggle people into the nation; he informed officials he was being paid $100 for each person smuggled.
His history of criminal behavior exemplifies the difficulties law enforcement agencies continue to encounter while attempting to reduce human smuggling.
