On the list are places like Washington, D.C., Baltimore, Maryland, and Buffalo, New York, as well as Los Angeles and San Francisco. It’s worth noting that New York City is the rudest city in the United States, and New York State is the rudest state in total.

Clever Real Estate said that the high-stress, fast-paced environments that are common in highly populated areas might make people even more cold, which is a trait of cities in the North and Northeast.

“The rudeness and lack of patience that are common in these cities can seem unfriendly,” the report said.
