Thousands of layoffs in Ohio have now been confirmed going into the year 2025, according to fresh data from WARN tracker.
It’s important to understand that under the Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act, an employer with more than 100 full-time workers must provide a 60-day notice before laying off 50 or more people at a single site.
The notice must be filed with the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services.
The most recent layoffs in Ohio are beginning this month of November and stretching out all the way to January of 2025.
This year, Ohio has had approximately 11,236 WARN layoffs across 86 businesses.

- Pepsico. 136 layoffs by 12/28.
- True Value. 89 job cuts by 12/14.
- DHL. 173 job cuts by 12/15.
- Nordson. 114 job cuts by 12/6.
- Libra Industries. 45 job cuts by 12/6.
- Kaleo Inc. 5 job cuts by 11/30.
- Cygnus Home Service dba Yelloh. 92 job cuts by 11/22.
