Sideshow Raid in San Francisco Bay Area Leads to 10-Foot Python Find

SAN FRANCISCO, California —

An illegal carnival in the San Francisco Bay Area drew hundreds of onlookers, and during the bust, investigators found a van containing a 10-foot-long python, according to them.

Multiple calls were received at approximately 11:12 p.m. on Friday about a sideshow in the Bay Area city of Vallejo involving about 500 vehicles, according to the Vallejo Police Department.

Motorists were obstructing traffic, directing lasers at other drivers, and causing their vehicles to spin, as stated by the police.

Officials say a traffic stop was initiated after a Cadillac’s occupants allegedly pointed a laser gun at police. However, the motorist took the law enforcement on a thrilling pursuit that stretched for ten miles (16 kilometers) until they reached Hercules, where the driver and three passengers escaped safely.

The 10-foot-3-meter python was discovered inside the vehicle by the cops. Among the several allegations against the driver was felony fleeing. Misdemeanor citations were issued to the passengers.

About 30 miles (or 5-0 kilometers) northeast of San Francisco is Vallejo.
