An event on Thursday in Brighton is being billed as one that “will make your taste buds tingle and your wallets sing with joy!”
The Women’s Council of Realtors Livingston is throwing a Sip & Shop Bar Crawl to support local businesses impacted by the streetscape construction in downtown Brighton.
The event will kick off at 3 p.m. at the POUND! Bar and Grill and then from there, participants will embark on what’s being described as “a spirited adventure, navigating through the heart of Brighton’s finest establishments.”
Those taking part will have the opportunity to sample craft beverages, explore unique boutiques, and indulge in delicious bites to fuel their shopping spree, according to Brenda Vidovic, First VP Women’s Council of Realtors Livingston.
“Basically, all the shops on Main Street are invited to participate,” she said. “The goal is to get people back down to Main Street and give the community businesses some love. We have multiple gift cards for the shops along Main Street that we will be passing out along the strip throughout the evening and will be having appetizers at some of the restaurants and bars.”
Attendees need to register on an Eventbrite site or at The Pound on Thursday to be eligible to win the gift cards or the Grand Prize, which includes Detroit Tigers tickets, jewelry donated by Cooper and Binkley, cash and more.
There will also be a live band, The Happy Campers, outside The Pound, while a shuttle, sponsored by LaFontaine Cadillac Highland, will be running from the Meijer parking lot to The Pound between 2:30 – 8 p.m.
