Personal finance website WalletHub looked at over 4,300 deals from 13 of the largest U.S. retailers’ 2024 Black Friday ad scans to see which stores are offering the best discounts and for which items with data from each retailer’s official website and BlackFriday.com.
“The best Black Friday deals can save you up to 88% this year, but when you’re bombarded by ads and there are so many places to shop, it can be hard to decide where to actually spend your money,” WalletHub analyst Chip Lupo says. “Knowing which retailers actually offer significant deals compared to their normal prices can save you a lot of time and prevent buyer’s remorse.”

WalletHub calculated the average discount each retailer plans to offer this Black Friday, weighing them based on the pre-discounted price of item and excluding deals without calculable percentage markdowns. WalletHub organized the deals into nine product categories — apparel & accessories, computers & phones, consumer electronics, consumer packaged goods, toys, appliances, furniture, jewelry and all other product categories — only taking into account retailers with at least five discounted items in that particular category.
