A young woman was fatally stabbed on Tuesday night in Midtown, close to Port Authority. Her alleged killer fled the scene with the bloodied knife still in hand. The incident was caught on camera.
The heavy-set, curly-haired suspect in the footage, which begins at approximately 10:15 p.m. close to the junction of West 40th Street and Eighth Avenue, leaps out of the bottom of the picture and directly approaches the smaller woman.
The suspect lunges at her, and a violent altercation breaks out between the two ladies on the sidewalk, sending them bouncing between the building and the street scaffolding’s metal legs.
As they struggle, they punch and slap each other, but the attacker then begins striking the victim’s chest with her left hand, which is carrying a blade.
