Authorities in New York City say that Almansoori is responsible for the murder of 38-year-old Denisse Oleas-Arancibia in a hotel room in SoHo on February 7. At the same time, law enforcement in Arizona alleges that Almansoori attempted to murder two women in Phoenix and Surprise on February 17 and 18.

After the February 18 stabbing in Maricopa County, police in Scottsdale were on the lookout for Almansoori’s stolen vehicle. Officers were able to track him down, leading to his arrest.

The charges against Almansoori are serious. In Maricopa County, he faces two counts of attempted first-degree murder, two counts of aggravated assault, one count of attempted armed robbery, two counts of attempted sexual assault, and one count of theft of a vehicle. In New York, he’s charged with first-degree murder, second-degree murder, and two counts of second-degree robbery.

Manhattan District Attorney Alvin L. Bragg expressed his commitment to seeking justice for Oleas-Arancibia. “With this indictment, we are one step closer to securing justice for Denisse Oleas-Arancibia,” Bragg said. “Our dedicated team will continue to build the strongest case possible, and we are ready to prosecute Almansoori for these horrific crimes when he is returned to New York.”

He added his condolences for the victim’s family and also acknowledged the other victims of Almansoori’s alleged crimes in Arizona. “My heart is with the family and loved ones of Ms. Oleas-Arancibia during this difficult time as they continue to mourn their loss, as well as the victims of Almansoori’s alleged crimes in Maricopa County.”

Almansoori’s arrest brings some closure to those affected by his alleged actions, but the investigation is ongoing, with authorities working to bring him to justice in both New York and Arizona.
