Funeral services have been announced for a longtime Howell public servant who passed away last week after a multi-year battle with colon cancer.
Steve Manor passed away at home in Howell last Friday, November 11, which was his 82nd birthday.
Manor, who resigned from Howell City Council last month after 23 years, announced that he had terminal cancer and was being treated in hospice. Manor ran for city council in 1999 after a 34-year career as an educator with Howell Public Schools. His family will receive friends this Thursday, November 17 from 2 p.m. until the time of his funeral service 5 p.m. at the Watkins Brothers Funeral Homes MacDonald’s Chapel in Howell.
Manor is survived by Pat, his wife of 59 years, son Scott, daughter-in-law Michelle and granddaughters Marissa and Maisy.
In remembrance of his life, the family asks that any charitable donations be made to the Livingston County United Way or the Howell Nature Center.
