Funeral services are set for New Year’s Day for four family members, all with Livingston County connections, who were killed in a multi-vehicle crash on Christmas Eve in Ohio.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol says 63-year-old Kimberly A. Siegrist of Brighton, her daughters; 32-year-old Lauren M. Hahn of Westland and Karen M. Boehne, 33, of Farmington and her son-in-law, 32-year-old Jeremy D. R. Boehne, also of Farmington, all died as a result of the crash involving a tractor trailer that crossed over the median on I-75 in Shelby County, north of Dayton, and struck two vehicles. Southbound I-75 was closed for nearly seven hours by the crash, which remains under investigation.
Lauren Hahn and Karen Boehne were graduates of Hartland High School, as was Jeremy Boehne.
Visitation for all four will be held on Saturday, December 31st from 2:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at McCabe Funeral Home, 31950 W. 12 Mile Rd., Farmington Hills. Services there will follow on Sunday, January 1st with Karen and Jeremy Boehne, who were married last summer and were expecting their first child, at 5 p.m. Services for Siegrist and Hahn are then set for 7 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions for all four may be made to C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital, University of Michigan, 1540 E. Hospital Drive, Ann Arbor.
