Eastbound I-96 was closed for more than 7 hours Wednesday following a serious crash near Williamston.
Michigan State Police say troopers from the Lansing Post responded to the crash involving two semi trucks on eastbound I-96 at the Williamston Road exit in Wheatfield Township. The road was closed while crews cleaned up the crash.
The Michigan Department of Transportation first reported the crash at 3:41 p.m. and didn’t issue an all-clear notice until 11:05 p.m.
