Self-inflicted gunshot victim draws large police response in Brighton

An incident Saturday evening in Brighton left one person dead and drew a large police presence.

Brighton Police say that officers responded at approximately 6:30 p.m. to an office complex in the 1000 block of Charles H Orndorf Dr. for a welfare check.

Upon investigation, it was determined an individual inside the office complex had a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

The Brighton Police Department was assited by officers from the Hamburg Township Police Department, Green Oak Township Police Department, and the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office. 

Police say at no time were Brighton residents in danger. No further details about the victim or the circumstances surrounding their death were released.
