A local progressive organization will be holding a series of barbecues this summer to try and connect like-minded residents.
Stand Against Extremism LivCo (SAGE) will hold the first Summer Grill and Chill on Saturday, July 15th in Hartland, with follow-up events in Howell on July 29th and then Brighton on Sunday August 27th.
Stand Against Extremism LivCo (SAGE) is a group dedicated to taking action that supports a safe and inclusive community for all Livingston County residents regardless of individual identity or political affiliation.
“We are hosting relaxed, FUN get-togethers around our community this summer and welcome you to invite friends & family to come learn about the work we’re doing and opportunities to get involved,” states a Facebook invitation.
Organizers stress that that the gatherings will be fun, free and family-friendly.
