The Howell Area Chamber of Commerce named former Mayor Nick Proctor as their 65th Citizen of the Year Thursday night.
Proctor, who served on Howell City Council for 8 years, stepped down in November after deciding against running for another term. He was known during his tenure as a strong advocate for non-partisan governance.
Also honored during the ceremony was Renee Chodkowski, aka The Great Foodini, with the Howell Chamber Hall of Famer Award, Rick Resinger, Chamber Spirit Award; Heather Aeschliman, Community Improvement Award and Lucas Vetter with the Game Changer Award.
