An accused car thief was taken into custody over the weekend following a chase that involved the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office.
Michigan State Police say they assisted a Livingston County deputy early Saturday morning when they continued the pursuit of a driver in a stolen vehicle.
The chase was captured by an MSP aerial unit as the vehicle sped along the Lodge Freeway onto Telegraph Road, reaching speeds of 120 mph. Officials say the suspect then led officers onto the Southfield Freeway, where the driver ditched the vehicle on Schoolcraft Drive leading officers on a brief foot chase that ended with him being taken into custody.
