Police Arrested Several Suspects of Cartersville Shootings

In Cartersville, eleven people are being charged in two killings that police say are linked.

A shooting happened on Lee and Walker streets in late April, according to Cartersville police. Even though they didn’t find a body, later a man with a shooting wound showed up at Piedmont Cartersville Medical Center.

Three people were arrested in connection with the killing. Ronald Michelle Osburn and MaKayla Ann Tanner were two of them.

The next day, Tanner was let out of the Bartow County Jail, but Osburn is still there.

A car that had been shot up was found on Stokley Street earlier this month. The driver and passenger were lucky not to be seriously hurt.

According to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, this killing was linked to the first one, but they didn’t say how.

In association with both shootings, seven more adults and a juvenile, whose name has not been made public, have been arrested.

Ten people were arrested and are being charged with two counts of aggravated attack each. They are:

  • Deon Shaquille Burton,
  • Joseph Kennemore,
  • Jeremiah Keith Lambert,
  • Jaylen Reece Sisson,
  • Zakavious Slocum, and
  • Jesus Deshawn Williams.

They’re all being held in the Bartow County Jail.

Carter, Naudia Renee, was caught and charged with making it harder to catch someone. The next day after being arrested, she was let out of jail.

It is not clear what charges the minor is facing.
