On Sunday, Pennsylvania defeated Washington D.C. 13-1 in the Little League Mid-Atlantic Regional tournament opener.
The Bristol, Connecticut complex known as the A. Bartlett Giamatti Little League Training Center hosted the match.
Salisbury, Maryland, who beat Delaware 5-3 on Sunday, will be Pennsylvania’s opponent at 10 a.m. on Tuesday.
The winning team’s Tyler Neeld and Dean Hamilton both collected three hits, while Neeld scored three runs and Hamilton drove in two. In addition to two hits and three RBIs, Saverio Longo scored three runs, and Brayden Peiffer and Gavin Caudill each scored two runs. It was 13 hits for the victorious team.
In the opening inning, Pennsylvania went ahead 3-0 thanks to a two-run double by Longo and a walk that put Rocco DaBronzo at third on a stacked base.

After scoring once in the second on an RBI single, Hamilton went on to score twice in the third, once in the fourth, and once in the fifth.
For the winning team, Neeld started the game and went three innings while giving up one run on four hits.
