Paving is set next week as part of Northwest Neighborhood Project

The next phase of the Northwest Neighborhood Project is set next week.

On Monday, August 1, a base layer of asphalt will be laid on N. First Street and the portions of Chestnut and Walnut between N. First and N. Second. Then on Tuesday, August 2, N. Fourth Street and Chestnut (between N. Fifth and N. Fourth) will receive a base asphalt layer.

City officials say that residents will have very limited access to their property while the paving is being performed. Those residents who will need to exit and enter their home during the work are being encouraged to park their vehicles on streets in their neighborhood not affected by the paving or the public parking lot located at N. Second and Center Street.

Anyone with questions or concerns is asked to email dps@brightoncity.org or call 810-225-8001.
