A suspect who fled from a traffic stop was arrested after barricading himself in the Fowlerville area.
The Fowlerville Police Department reports that a high speed chase originated in the village on Tuesday after a driver failed to stop when officers attempted a traffic stop. Due to the safety of the public, the chase was called off but the suspect vehicle was seen pulling into an address on W. Allen Road.
“Officers from the Fowlerville Police Department, Livingston County Sheriff’s Dept., Ingham County Sheriff’s Dept., East Lansing Police Department, Michigan State Police, as well as special task force officers, surrounded the residence and after several attempts at negotiation, an entry team went into the house,” stated a Facebook post. “The K9 unit from the East Lansing Police Department located the suspect hiding under an enclosed deck. He was taken into custody with no injuries. The subject had several warrants and was a parole absconder.”
