BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (MJP) — The body of a San Diego man was found in late July near California City, and his death was determined to be an accidental methamphetamine overdose, said the Kern County Coroner’s Office.
James Michael Bugerna, 70, of San Diego, was found dead at around 12:40 p.m. in a desert area north of California City.
Authorities have confirmed that a San Diego man whose body was discovered near California City died from a drug overdose, according to the latest coroner’s report. The grim discovery was made earlier this week when local law enforcement responded to a call about a body found on the outskirts of California City, located in the Mojave Desert region of Kern County.
