MJP –
Today, we have compiled a list of companies in Ohio that are implementing layoffs just before the holiday season, based on the latest WARN (Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification) data.
It’s crucial to recognize that under the Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act, employers with more than 100 full-time employees are required to provide a 60-day notice prior to laying off 50 or more individuals at a single location.
This notice must be submitted to the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services, ensuring that affected employees have some time to prepare for the transition.
As we enter November, the wave of layoffs is beginning, coinciding with the critical lead-up to Christmas.
