A huge chain with 900 stores is continuing its worldwide store closures, and now it’s closing in Ohio, some 60 miles west of Cleveland.
A store in Sandusky, Ohio, apparently closed its doors.
A notice announced the store’s demise as it permanently closed its doors on Friday.
The message was straightforward: “Store closed: Please visit our other locations.”
According to The Sun, on Thursday, notices reading “store closing” were up, giving customers advance notice of the closure.
A spokesperson from Save-A-Lot explained the store’s decision to close to the Sandusky Register. “We decide to close any Save A Lot shop very seriously,” the store stated.

Regrettably, due to shifting market conditions, we had to close the business (this past weekend). “The patrons of this establishment have our deepest appreciation for all the years of devotion.”
Many residents took to Facebook to express their sadness at the store’s impending closure.
