Nominees sought for accessibility and inclusion award

The Abilities Alliance, a workgroup of the Human Services Collaborative Body (HSCB), once again seeks to recognize individual businesses and organizations in Livingston County that demonstrate a value of people of all abilities.

The purpose of this award is to:

● Recognize efforts to ensure that individuals of all abilities are provided meaningful opportunities to be actively engaged in the community.

● Provide encouragement and inspiration for other businesses and organizations.

● Acknowledge incremental improvement, not just financial investments.

The Nomination Categories include Digital Accessibility, Environmental Accessibility, Employment Accessibility, Accessibility Training and Awareness, and Communication Accessibility.

The 2021-2022 recipients of this award included, Tomato Brothers (Employment Accessibility) and the Howell High School Senior Survivor. The Howell High School team was recognized under the category of Environmental Accessibility as the result of their fundraising to construct an All Abilities playground in Livingston County.

Nominations will be accepted through Friday, January 13, 2023.

Winners will be notified in January and recognized at the Human Services Collaborative Body’s Annual Meeting on February 13, 2023.
