In a New Brunswick attempted robbery that resulted in 14 gunshot wounds to the victim, a man from Middlesex County is going to prison.
In a prior guilty plea, 23-year-old Jonathan Rosales of New Brunswick admitted to conspiring to conduct and attempted Hobbs Act robbery.
He will spend nine years (108 months) behind bars, according to his Thursday sentencing.

Attempts to rob a victim in New Brunswick were allegedly made by Rosales, Saul Peralta, and Giovanni Hoyos-Jaimes on December 28, 2020, according to authorities. The victim was shot fourteen times, resulting in severe injuries, during a confrontation.
Previous guilty pleas from Peralta and Hoyos-Jaimes indicate that they were both involved in this incident.
A 78-month prison term was handed down to Peralta, while next month’s sentencing for Hoyos-Jaimes is set for.
