Among the 98,389 babies born in New York City last year, some baby names were clear favorites.
The New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene reviewed records from 2023 and revealed that Emma and Liam were the most popular names once again.
Liam has been the top name for boys since 2016, while Emma has been the favorite for girls since 2017.
In 2023, records show that 743 baby boys were named Liam, and 382 baby girls were named Emma.
