Emergency repairs are being performed on the Hill Road overpass over US-23 following a crash Wednesday that closed down the northbound lanes.
The Michigan Department of Transportation reports the closure was necessitated by the impact if a high load on the overpass that happened around 12:30 p.m.
A tweet from MDOT’s Bay Region said northbound US-23 will remain closed and detoured through the Hill Road interchange while crews perform emergency repairs. The work will also close one lane of eastbound Hill Road.
There is no estimate of when the repairs will be completed.
