Fans of a prominent restaurant business are in grief as a branch in Illinois closes its doors for good.
There has been an official closing of an Arby’s in the Chicago metropolitan region.
Customers were informed of the news by a note posted on the door of the restaurant at 1331 Golf Road, Rolling Meadows, Illinois.
“Business closed,” the handmade sign reads, directing Arby’s patrons to the Niles and Des Plaines locations.
What a wonderful supporter you are. The pleasure of serving you was an honor.
Many Facebook users who enjoyed fast food pointed out that Arby’s was closing locations across the country, not alone in Chicago.
Arby’s is nearly going out of business in the Chicagoland area.
A consumer complained that the quality of the beef at Arby’s was lower than what they remembered from their previous visits.
Someone else pointed out that the chain was shuttering stores “left and right” in the Chicago region, with “very few locations left.”
According to a third customer, who recalled a spate of closures in the neighborhood fifteen years ago, the chain’s fortunes have been “downhill” for the last decade.
Even if they were expecting the news, several customers nevertheless found fault with the chain’s cuisine, comparing it to ink and rubber.
Others were heartbroken by the closure of the Chicago Arby’s.
This is really unfortunate. As far back as they can remember, it has been their go-to fast food joint.
“It’s great that they keep each other occupied; Arby’s roast beef is delicious,” someone else volunteered.

If Yahoo Finance is to be believed, franchisee Miracle Restaurant Group, owner of the shuttered Chicago Arby’s, filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy on June 20.
As part of the bankruptcy process, the franchisee may sell many locations in three states; these states are home to 25 Arby’s restaurants.
